A
Race for the Ages
The
Presidential Election of 2008 may go down a
seminal moment in the history of politics, well, at
least the Democratic nomination process. The race as
come down to two candidates, Hillary Rodham Clinton
and Barack Hussein Obama. Now I’m using all
three of their names to make a point. Throughout their
political careers these two have both gone with using or
hiding their middle names bases on what they perceived
to be best from a political perspective. Barack has
even now gone so far as to say it’s racism to use his
middle name in the presidential campaign, guess it’s a
little different than when he was trying to get elected
in the inner city. But I digress.
The
bitter and rancorous split that has erupted in the
Democratic nominating process is outstanding in
terms of irony, perhaps one of the greatest examples of
ones chickens coming home to roost in history. For most
of the last 60 years liberals, personified by the
Democratic Party, have been molding the United
States to be a nation of appearances not substance.
Bills and programs to eliminate poverty, not the
elimination of poverty. Bills and programs to eliminate
discrimination, not the elimination of discrimination.
The promotion of pretty people, easy on the eyes; or
silver-tongued ones, who read a teleprompter oh so
well. An education system, that teaches how to get in
touch with ones feelings, but not how to add or
subtract; to use a condemn, but not how to use a ruler;
that teaches that hate is bad, but the founding fathers
should be despised. Appearance over substance.
They
have black candidates, so they can say they have black
candidates, not because they happen to the best person
the job. They have female candidates, Latinos, etc., so
they can say they have them, not because they are the
best people for the jobs. It’s the race, sex,
ethnicity that makes the candidate; not the content
of their brain, the greatness of their heart, or the
quality of their soul.
Well
they got what they wanted. Two candidates, Barack,
black and well spoken, Hillary, female and, and,
and, well let’s just say married to Bill.
Two
vaporware candidates, no substance, just
appearance. Neither has accomplished much in their life
times, unless you count Hillary experience destroying
the “Bimbo’s of Bill” (apologies to the victims).
Yet the Democrats seriously believe them to be
Presidential material, one simply because he’s black,
the other simply because she’s a woman.
What
makes the race so bitter and destined to divide? Both
are at best left-leaning socialists (or worse). Neither
has a record or list of accomplishments to run on, each
only has their race/gender qualifications and their
desire for power. They are both
Type Ones.
Since each has no substance, neither has a substantive
case to present for themselves or against their
opponent. Really at the end of the day the only way to
differentiate themselves from one and other is to base
their cases on their racial/gender identities.
Essentially whether done directly, or through surrogates or
other forms of camouflage both are proceeding down this
path. Hillary’s case is vote for me I’m a cheated
on woman; don’t vote for him, he’s a black guy.
Barack’s case, vote for me I’m a black guy, don’t vote
for her she’s a bitch. That’s really all there
is to each of their cases.
The
effect on the Democratic Party is devastating. Each
represents a core constituency of the Democratic Party.
Each constituency feels that they have been deigned
power because of who they are. They are not smart
enough to realize its because of what they believe. The
loser will believe they lost because of who they are,
and that the other side won because of who they are.
They will be right. They will also be
extremely bitter, having come so close only to lose, and
they will feel disenfranchised. In short one the
core constituencies of the Democrats, will not show up
in November.
This is a race conceived in discrimination, executed
through discrimination, and to be decided by
discrimination. Ya gotta love it.
