The Root of All Evil

It has been said that money is the root of all evil.  Most of believe it to one degree or another.  Yet in or schizophrenic society most of us run around pursuing it.  Are we all nuts? To actively pursue the thing that will ultimately ruin us?  An interesting question.

We were all brought up with the stories of the Robber Barons of the late 19th & early 20th century, who destroyed good hardworking people all in the name of accumulating money & power.  They “bought” the government and had it institute policies & “oppressions” that would enrich them.  Taking land, property, and life from the masses and handing them over to the rich & powerful.

I would submit to you, that if you take a careful look at all these so called wrongs at hands of money, you will always find government.  Government will be there, either explicitly or implicitly; either by action or lack of action.  You see the dirty little secret is that for money to really be able to do evil it requires abetting of government.

Money is merely a medium of exchange that facilitates economic activity.  Economic activity is the creation and exchange of goods & services.  At the end of the day for the type ones to rule, they must tap into (take) the goods and services from producers (types three’s and many type two’s) and utilize them to enrich themselves and there ilk. Here is one of the great truisms of humanity, the intersection of money and government spawns evil.  For money to be the root of all evil, it must be planted in the government.
